Global Village Dubai to open Season 30 with fireworks, drone shows and skydivers
Colourful parades, live shows and cultural displays await visitors
DUBAI – Dubai’s beloved multicultural destination, Global Village, is set to reopen for its 30th milestone season on Wednesday, October 15, with an unforgettable opening night packed with colour, entertainment, and sky-high spectacles.
The season will run until Sunday, 10th May 2026, offering visitors seven months of cultural showcases, global cuisines, and family fun under the theme “A More Wonderful World.”
This year’s opening evening promises to be one of Dubai’s most anticipated events, featuring parades, drone shows, and a breathtaking fireworks display that will light up the skies above Wadi Al Safa 4.
Parade of the World
Festivities begin at 6pm with the Parade of the World, where lively Retumbar street drummers and performers representing each country pavilion will set a vibrant tone for the night. The parade will capture the essence of Global Village’s core spirit – celebrating unity in diversity.
Visitors can explore pavilions representing more than 90 cultures, showcasing global crafts, cuisines, and performances that have made the attraction a Dubai institution for three decades.
Sky spectacle
As night falls, all eyes will turn to the sky for a mesmerising drone and pyrotechnic show, where 600 drones will form dazzling animations, including a glowing “30” to mark the new season. Professional skydivers, dressed in illuminated wing suits, will soar through the spectacle, leaving sparkling trails of light as they descend over the park.
The excitement continues at 9pm, when another wave of drones will display welcome messages before the first fireworks of the season burst into the night sky, officially launching Season 30.
Lights and entertainment
The celebration extends across Global Village with live stage performances, cultural shows, and a laser display at Dragon Lake, one of the park’s most photographed spots. With food stalls, funfair rides, and cultural pavilions from every corner of the world, visitors can look forward to an experience that’s both nostalgic and new.
This year also marks 20 years since Global Village moved to its 17.2 million-square-foot home in Dubailand, having grown from its modest beginnings as a pop-up at Dubai Creek.
